Get answers to common questions about Ears Waxing.
Most clients report mild to moderate discomfort lasting only seconds during removal and tingling afterward. Pain tolerance varies; we use expert technique and soothing products to minimize sensation. Applying numbing cream can be discussed for especially sensitive clients.
Yes—our therapists assess skin sensitivity beforehand and choose gentle waxes and techniques. A patch test may be recommended, and calming pre- and post-wax products are applied to prevent irritation. Avoid exfoliation or harsh products for 24-48 hours post-service.
Results typically last two to six weeks depending on individual hair growth cycles. Regular appointments can lead to finer regrowth and longer intervals between services. Factors like hormones, medications, and genetics influence regrowth speed.
Arrive with clean, dry skin and avoid applying oils, heavy lotions, or makeup around the ears. If you use blood-thinning medications or have recent sunburn, inform us. A short hair length of a few millimeters allows effective waxing.
Piercings generally aren’t a problem if fully healed. Avoid waxing over fresh or infected piercings. Remove non-tightly secured jewelry beforehand and notify the technician of any recent or irritated piercing to prevent tugging or infection.
Keep the area clean and avoid hot showers, saunas, or swimming for 24 hours. Apply a soothing, alcohol-free moisturizer if needed and avoid exfoliating products for 48 hours. Contact us if redness, swelling, or persistent irritation occurs.
